Holiday Collection Pickup Schedules:

Our garbage, recycle, yard debris and drop box haulers work every holiday EXCLUDING Christmas Day and New Years Day.

When Christmas Day and New Years Day fall during our workweek, Monday thru Friday, then the entire pick up schedule shifts one day later after the holiday.

Example 1: Christmas Day falls on Tuesday.

Monday services will take place as usual. There will be no services on Tuesday. Tuesday pickups take place on Wednesday, Wednesday pickups take place on Thursday, Thursday pickups take place on Friday, and Friday pickups take place on Saturday.

Example 2: New Years Day falls on a Wednesday.

Monday and Tuesday services will take place as usual. There will be no services on Wednesday. Wednesday pickups take place on Thursday, Thursday pickups take place on Friday and Friday pickups take place on Saturday.

CUSTOMER SERVICE HOLIDAY SCHEDULES:
In addition to Christmas Day and New Years Day, our customer service center observes Thanksgiving, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day and Veterans Day. Our office is closed the day these holidays are observed, but our drivers will still pickup as scheduled on those five holidays.Please note that our customer sevice center closes early, at 2 PM on 12/24 and 12/31.

Missed Pickup:
If for some reason your garbage, recycling, or yard debris is missed, please call our office at (503) 648-4219 as soon as possible. If your pick up was missed by our driver, we will return for pick up either the next day or the next collection day with no charge for extras. If the pick up was missed due to the customer not having the can out, there will be an extra charge to return for the pick up.articleid=760

Paint Cans: Containers must be empty, completely dried out, with the lids off.

Motor Oil: See recycling. Place used motor oil in a see-through container, such as a milk jug with a secure lid.

Antifreeze, Batteries, Aerosol Products, Fluorescent light Fixtures, Household Cleaning Products, Pesticides or herbicides, paints, thinners, or solvents, fertilizers or poisons. Call Metro Hotline at 234-3000 for disposal information. NO COMPUTERS, MONITORS or TVs. As of January 1, 2010, Oregon law prohibits the disposal of computers, monitors and TVs in the garbage or at disposal sites such as landfills, transfer stations and incinerators. The Oregon E-Cycles program provides FREE recycling of computers, monitors and televisions to anyone with seven or fewer items to recycle at a time. Monday customers that were missed last week (12/27) can put out double their normal amount of garbage, recycling, and yard waste at no additional charge this Monday (1/3). This includes recycling even if it's not your normal week for collection.

Drop Box Height Configuration

10 Yard Drop Box Configuration

Generally used for heavy materials such as dirt or concrete.

Materials CANNOT protrude above the top edge of the box.

20 Yard Drop Box Configuration

Generally used for composite roofing waste materials and construction/demolition

Materials CANNOT protrude above the top edge of the box. Extremely heavy materials cannot excede the heavy load limit line.

30 Yard Drop Box Configuration

Generally used for large construction sites and lighter, bulkier materials.

Materials CANNOT protrude above the top edge of the box.

40 Yard Drop Box Configuration

Generally used for large construction sites and large, light-weight materials.
